Do you accept insurance?
No, I am self-pay only. This allows for longer sessions, no insurance-mandated diagnoses, and maximum privacy. I can provide a superbill for out-of-network benefits, and many HSA/FSA cards can be used.
Do you offer sliding-scale rates?
Yes, I understand that therapy is an important inverstment, and I recognise that finanical circumstances can vary. Limited sliding-scale options may be available for clients who need financial support. Availability is based on individual circumstances and the numer of reduced-rate openings available at this time. Please feel free to ask about sliding-scale availability during your consultation.
Do I have to live in Colorado?
Yes. To comply with licensing laws, you must be physically located in Colorado at the time of your virtual session, even if you are traveling.
What is EMDR and how do I know if it's right for me?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based approach for trauma, anxiety, and painful memories. We use bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess what feels stuck. We will explore together in your consultation if EMDR or a blend of talk therapy and EMDR is right for you. Check out the What is EMDR Therapy? section to learn more information.
How long will therapy take?
It depends on your history and goals. Some clients feel relief in a few months of focused work, others prefer longer-term support. My goal is not to keep you in therapy for years, but to help you get relief efficiently and build tools that last.
What is the difference between weekly sessions and an EMDR Intensive?
Weekly sessions build momentum over time. An Intensive is an extended, private block of 3-6 hours where we complete preparation, processing, and integration in one to three days. Many high-achieving women choose intensives because they don't want to miss work weekly or re-open trauma and then have to go back to a meeting. Check out the Services & Cost section for more info.
